Two suspects were taken into custody by the Police Narcotics Bureau’s Airport Unit at Katunayake early this morning (26) while attempting to smuggle Kush narcotics into Sri Lanka.
According to officials, one suspect was found with 5.27 kg of Kush, while the other was carrying 5.2 kg.
Both suspects, aged 24 and 25, are residents of the Bagawantalawa area.
Investigations have revealed that the duo had arrived in Sri Lanka from Bangkok via Delhi.
The Police Narcotics Bureau Airport Unit has launched further inquiries into the incident. (Newswire)
