The Kottawa Police have arrested an SUV driver who was widely highlighted on social media for reckless driving and repeated traffic violations.
Investigations were launched after several videos circulated online showing the vehicle being driven dangerously on public roads, endangering motorists and pedestrians.
Using the footage and other information, officers traced and located the SUV, identifying the suspect as a resident of Pannipitiya.
Police confirmed that the driver did not possess a valid license. Strict legal action is being pursued against him for operating a vehicle unlawfully and in a hazardous manner.
The suspect is scheduled to be produced before the court today (27), while further investigations continue under the Piliyandala Police. (Newswire)
