
Former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga and Health Minister Nalinda Jayatissa held a special discussion to review the current status and future plans of the Seeduwa Vijaya Kumaratunga Memorial Hospital.
The discussion, held at the Ministry of Health and Mass Media, focused on strengthening services provided by the hospital, particularly eye care treatment and surgical services.
Officials also reviewed the functioning of several key units including the Outpatient Department, Dental Unit, and laboratory services, while attention was also given to administrative and financial matters of the hospital.
Health Ministry Secretary Dr. Anil Jasinghe, Additional Secretaries Janaka Kithsiri Gunawardena and Chamika Gamage, Deputy Directors General Dr. Arjuna Thilakaratne and Samiddhi Samarakoon, Chief Finance Officer G.S. Karunaratne, and Hospital Director Dr. Gayan Ranaweera were among those who attended the meeting.
The discussion comes as part of efforts to further develop the Seeduwa Vijaya Kumaratunga Memorial Hospital and enhance healthcare services for the surrounding communities. (Newswire)
