The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has arrested Commissioner General of Motor Traffic Kamal Amarasinghe over an alleged vehicle registration irregularity, police said.
According to sources, the arrest was made following an investigation into suspected irregularities linked to the registration of a vehicle at the Department of Motor Traffic.
Kamal Amarasinghe is expected to be produced before court following questioning, while further investigations are ongoing. (Newswire)
