CIABOC to launch online asset declaration system

March 30, 2026 at 5:00 PM

The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) has announced that a centralized electronic system for asset and liability declarations will be officially opened to declarants on Tuesday (31).

The initiative is part of implementing the Anti‑Corruption Act No. 09 of 2023, which requires public officials to declare their assets and liabilities.

According to the Bribery Commission, the new system represents a full digitalization of the declaration process, moving away from the traditional printed forms.

The electronic platform will not only allow declarations to be submitted online but also provide verification facilities to detect false submissions and identify unusual accumulation of assets.

The Bribery Commission states that the system strengthens Sri Lanka’s anti‑corruption framework by adding modernity, independence, and efficiency.

The launch event will take place at 10:00 am tomorrow, at the International Studies Auditorium of the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) in Colombo. (Newswire)
