Two out-of-service train compartments parked near the Galle Railway Station caught fire today, prompting a response from the fire brigade.
According to reports, four disused train compartments had been parked in the vicinity of the Galle Railway Station, of which two compartments were affected by the sudden fire.
Firefighters were deployed to the scene and efforts to douse the flames were underway at the time of reporting.
