
Warm weather conditions prevailing in Sri Lanka are expected to continue today, according to the Department of Meteorology.
However, showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts in the evening or night. Mainly dry weather will prevail over the other parts of the island.
Misty conditions can be expected at some places in the Central, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts in the morning.
The public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damage caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
Meanwhile, mainly fair weather will prevail over the sea areas around the island.
Winds will be Easterly or variable in direction. Wind speed will be 20-30 kmph.
