Sri Lanka Police have launched an investigation into an audio recording circulating on social media that allegedly disucsses a shooting inside a camp.
Police Media Spokesperson F.U. Wootler addressing media said that a report had been caled from Central Crime Investigation Bureau Director Kamal Ariyawansha regarding the matter.
The Colombo Magistrate Court has been informed of the facts of the case, and an inquiry has been initiated to determine whether the alleged incident is authentic or fabricated, Wootler said.
Police said further investigations are underway into the audio conversation, which is believed to have taken place between two parties. (Newswire)
