The Department for Registration of Persons announced that the issuance of National Identity Cards, which had been temporarily suspended, has resumed from today (20).

According to the department, public services, including the one‑day service, are now operational again.

The suspension was imposed on April 17 following an unexpected breakdown in the computer system, which disrupted services.

Officials confirmed that the technical issue has since been resolved, allowing operations to recommence. (Newswire)
