
The overall rate of inflation, as measured by the National Consumer Price Index (NCPI) year-on-year, has increased to 2.4% in March 2026, according to the Department of Census and Statistics.
The department states that the figure is an increase compared to the 1.6% recorded in February 2026.
Meanwhile, food inflation decreased to 0.7% in March from the 1.1% reported in February.
However, non-food inflation increased to 3.8% in March from the 1.9% recorded in February.
