Two members of Sri Lanka’s Under-19 national cricket team have been arrested over allegations of secretly filming females inside a hotel in Narahenpita, police said.
The suspects were taken into custody after several female doctors, who were staying at a private hotel while attending a conference, complained that they had been filmed using mobile phones while bathing in their rooms.
Police said the two youths are also suspected of recording footage involving male individuals at the same location. Investigators are now probing whether any of the footage has been shared online.
The suspects were produced before the Aluthkade Magistrate’s Court and were released on personal bail of Rs. 500,000 each.
Further investigations are being carried out by the Narahenpita Police.(Newswire)
