President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has indicated that fuel prices in Sri Lanka could see a slight increase in the near future due to the ongoing situation in the Middle East.
Speaking on the matter, he said the government has already provided as much relief as possible to the public, but noted that a “small increase” may become necessary.
However, the President did not specify when such a revision would take place.
The remarks come after the usual end-of-month fuel price revision, expected on April 30, did not materialise. (Newswire)
