Police have launched an investigation after the body of a 41-year-old woman was found inside a land in the Bawila area of Eheliyagoda on May 4.
The victim, a resident of Kuruwita, was discovered with sharp cut injuries to the neck, according to police.
Authorities said the suspects behind the murder have not yet been identified, and efforts are underway to track them down.
The body has been placed at the Ratnapura Hospital mortuary for post-mortem examination. Eheliyagoda Police are continuing further investigations. (Newswire)
