Retired senior officers of the Sri Lanka Police recently came together for a New Year celebration organised by the Retired State Notified Officers’ Association.
The event was held at the grounds opposite the Senior Police Officers’ Mess in Colombo 07, bringing together former high-ranking officers who had served during some of the country’s most challenging periods.
Secretary to the Ministry of Public Security Ravi Seneviratne, a retired Senior Deputy Inspector General, attended as the chief guest. Inspector General of Police and Attorney-at-Law, Priyantha Weerasooriya and Senior Deputy Inspector General in charge of the North Western Province, Attorney-at-Law Ajith Rohana were also present.
The arrangements were coordinated by the association’s secretary, retired Deputy Inspector General Lakshman Bandara, along with the association. (Newswire)
