US President Donald Trump has rejected Iran’s response to a US-backed proposal aimed at ending the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, describing Tehran’s reply as “totally unacceptable.”
According to international media reports, Iran had submitted its response through Pakistan, which has been acting as a mediator between Washington and Tehran.
Iran’s semi-official Tasnim News Agency reported that Tehran’s proposal called for an immediate end to the war on all fronts, the lifting of sanctions, a halt to the US naval blockade, and guarantees against future attacks on Iran.
Reacting on Truth Social, Trump said: “I have just read the response from Iran’s so-called representatives. I don’t like it — TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!” (Newswire)
