
Police have recovered several tools and railway equipment from the residence of a suspect arrested over the train incident that occurred between the Kelaniya and Wanawasala railway stations on Saturday morning (16).
According to police, three iron levers used for railway track switching and tools believed to have been used to remove them were found hidden inside the suspect’s house and taken into custody.
The suspect, a 27-year-old resident of Wanawasala, was arrested on suspicion of removing railway components linked to the incident. (Newswire)
