
Over 200 houses have been partially damaged due to the inclement weather experienced in Sri Lanka.
According to the Disaster Management Centre (DMC), 204 houses have sustained partial damage across 13 districts, as of 10.00 am today (18).
A total of 5277 persons from 1585 families across 14 districts are severely affected due to the prevalent adverse weather.
The DMC states 135 individuals from 42 families have been placed at two temporary safety shelters.
Two deaths and one injury have been reported thus far due to inclement weather conditions.
