A 48-year-old man was hacked to death following a dispute in the Walipenna Police area on Friday evening, police said.
The incident had occurred in the Diyahoraduwa area, where the victim, a resident of Dharga Town, had reportedly been involved in an argument with another individual while with a group of people.
Police said investigations revealed that the suspect had attacked the victim with a sharp weapon during the altercation.
A 56-year-old suspect has been arrested in connection with the murder, while Walipenna Police are conducting further investigations. (Newswire)
