
The Sri Lankan Rupee appreciated further today (25) against the US Dollar, compared to last Friday, with commercial banks lowering the selling rate as low as Rs. 330 in some banks.
According to Seylan Bank, the buying and selling rates of the US dollar have decreased from Rs. 329.25 to Rs. 323.25 and from Rs. 347 to Rs. 337, respectively.
At NDB Bank, the buying and selling rates of the US dollar have reduced from Rs. 330 to Rs. 325.50 and from Rs. 340 to Rs. 334.50, respectively.
People’s Bank reports the buying rate of the US Dollar has decreased from Rs. 330.06 to Rs. 320.58, while the selling rate has also dropped from Rs. 340.11 to Rs. 329.66.
Meanwhile, at Commercial Bank, the buying and selling rates have reduced from Rs. 331.42 to Rs. 324.47 and from Rs. 342.50 to Rs. 335.50, respectively.
At Sampath Bank, the buying and selling rates have decreased from Rs. 331.50 to Rs. 321.50 and from Rs. 340.50 to Rs. 330.50. (Newswire)
