Three Sri Lankans were among more than 60 people injured after Iranian drone strikes targeted Kuwait International Airport, according to Sri Lankan diplomatic sources.

Kuwaiti authorities said one person was killed and over 60 others were injured in the attack, which also caused damage to parts of the airport and nearby diplomatic facilities.

The injured Sri Lankans are receiving medical treatment and are reported to be in stable condition, according to initial information.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed responsibility for the attack, describing it as retaliation for recent US military actions against Iranian targets. Kuwait condemned the strike as an act of aggression and has taken diplomatic measures in response. (Newswire)
