Former Minister Wimal Weerawansa’s former Media Secretary, Prasad Manju, has been arrested by the Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID), Police said.
According to Police, the arrest was made in connection with an investigation into a complaint alleging the misuse of vehicles and fuel belonging to the State Engineering Corporation during the period when Weerawansa served as a Cabinet Minister.
Police said the complaint relates to the alleged unauthorized use of State Engineering Corporation resources, including vehicles and fuel.
Further investigations are being conducted by the FCID. (Newswire)
