Police have arrested a woman in connection with the fatal stabbing of her husband in the Arambakanda area of the Horana Police Division on early hours of Sunday (7 June 2026)
The victim, a 49-year-old resident of Arambakanda, was found dead following an attack with a sharp weapon inside their home during a domestic dispute.
Police said initial investigations indicate that the suspect, the victim’s wife, allegedly carried out the assault during an argument at the residence.
The suspect has since been taken into custody by Horana Police, while further investigations are underway. (NewsWire)
