At least 10 people were injured after a bus travelling on the Southern Expressway crashed near the Pinnaduwa interchange on Monday (08).
The accident occurred when the bus, which was travelling from Colombo towards Galle, veered off the road, broke through a security gate at the Pinnaduwa entry point and collided with a nearby utility pole.
Police and expressway personnel rushed to the scene and assisted in transporting the injured passengers to the National Hospital in Galle for treatment.
The Pinnaduwa Expressway Police have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident. (Newswire)
