Police have removed the tent erected for the satyagraha organized by opposition groups in front of the Fort Railway Station in Colombo in support of former State Intelligence Chief Suresh Sallay.
Several opposition parties began the satyagraha today (08), protesting what they describe as inhumane harassment against Sallay, who was recently taken into custody by the CID in connection with investigations into the Easter Sunday attacks.
The removal of the tent by the Police led to a tense situation. (Newswire)
