The closing date for submissions under the Expression of Interest (EOI) process seeking investments to utilise resources at the Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport (MRIA) has been extended to July 9, the Board of Investment (BOI) of Sri Lanka announced.
According to the BOI, the Cabinet Appointed Negotiation Committee (CANC) granted the extension to provide prospective investors with additional time to prepare and submit comprehensive proposals.
The new deadline for the submission of proposals is 2.00 p.m. on July 9, while the issuance of EOI documents will close at 2.30 p.m. on July 8.
The original deadline for submissions was June 9.
The investment opportunity, issued by the Ministry of Ports and Civil Aviation on behalf of Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited (AASL), seeks proposals to utilise resources available at the Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport in Hambantota.
According to the revised timeline, submitted proposals will remain valid for 120 days from the closing date, until November 5, while proposal guarantees must remain valid for 150 days, until December 5. (Newswire)
