An investigation has been launched after the body of an unidentified man was found washed ashore along the Uswetakeiyawa beach in the Pamunugama area.
Police said the deceased is believed to be a male aged between 40 and 45 years, with a height of approximately 5 feet 3 inches. He had short hair and was dressed in a green T-shirt and a blue-and-white sarong.
The body has been transferred to the mortuary of the Ragama Hospital, while Pamunugama Police are carrying out further investigations to establish the identity of the deceased and the circumstances surrounding the death. (NewsWire)
