Meta has announced a range of new artificial intelligence-powered features for Facebook, aimed at helping users find information, create content, and engage more easily on the platform.

Among the new additions is AI Mode, a search experience powered by Meta AI that provides answers based on publicly shared content across Meta’s platforms, including Facebook Groups and Reels. Rather than displaying only traditional search results, AI Mode is designed to deliver insights, opinions and recommendations from real users.

Meta said the feature uses its AI technology to provide responses that reflect conversations and experiences shared publicly across its apps.

The company has also introduced new AI-driven creative tools to simplify content creation. These include updated camera roll sharing suggestions featuring collage templates, automated video montages and transition effects that help users turn photos and videos into shareable content with minimal effort.

According to Meta, the camera roll sharing suggestions remain optional and can be disabled at any time.

In addition, Facebook users will gain access to new AI editing features that allow them to virtually change clothing, hairstyles and accessories in photos. Sports fans will also be able to digitally wear team jerseys and other themed apparel using AI-powered editing tools available through Stories and profile pictures.

Meta said the updates are intended to make it easier for users to discover information, express creativity and share content while leveraging artificial intelligence within the Facebook experience.

The new features are being rolled out gradually to Facebook users. (Newswire)
