The Court of Appeal today ordered that the petition filed by former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, seeking an order to prevent his arrest in connection with investigations into the Easter Sunday terrorist attacks, be taken up for consideration tomorrow (18).
The petition was called before a bench comprising Court of Appeal President Justice Rohantha Abeysuriya and Justice Priyantha Fernando.
During proceedings, Justice Abeysuriya directed that the matter be recalled tomorrow to confirm the facts.
Accordingly, the petition is scheduled to be heard on June 18 before a bench consisting of Justice Rohantha Abeysuriya and Justice Sarath Dissanayake. (Newswire)
