The Jaffna Police have confiscated assets belonging to a 42-year-old suspect from Ariyalai after heroin was seized during an operation on 26 February 2026.
The Jaffna Crime Investigation Division said the suspect’s allegedly illegally acquired property was subjected to forfeiture under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.
Among the seized assets were a dinghy boat and engine valued at Rs. 695,950, and two motorcycles worth about Rs. 900,000.
Investigations are continuing under the Jaffna Crime Investigation Unit. (Newswire)
