
ICC Chairman Jay Shah has arrived in Sri Lanka for discussions with government officials and cricket stakeholders regarding the future governance structure of Sri Lanka Cricket, NewsWire learns.
Shah arrived in Colombo aboard FitsAir’s inaugural direct flight from Ahmedabad, which was launched today to strengthen connectivity between Sri Lanka and the Indian state of Gujarat.
Sources said Shah is scheduled to meet President Anura Kumara Dissanayake and other key stakeholders during his visit.
The discussions are expected to focus on Sri Lanka Cricket’s current interim administrative arrangement and the way forward for the sport’s governance in the country.
The visit comes amid ongoing engagement between Sri Lankan authorities and international cricket officials on ensuring the administration of the game remains aligned with international cricket regulations.
