China is set to open the world’s first fully robot-serviced hotel in early 2027.
The hotel, located on the West Artificial Island of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link, will rely entirely on robots to perform key guest services, including reception, luggage handling, room service, housekeeping, security patrols and visitor assistance.
Trial operations are expected to begin in late 2026 ahead of the hotel’s official opening in 2027.
The project forms part of a broader initiative to develop the West Artificial Island into a tourism destination focused on robotics and advanced technology. (Newswire)
