The deadline for public officials and other persons required by law to submit their declarations of assets and liabilities without incurring penalties expires tomorrow (30), the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) said.

CIABOC warned that legal action will be initiated against those who fail to submit their declarations in accordance with the provisions of the Anti-Corruption Act No. 9 of 2023.

The Commission said all declarations must be submitted online through its electronic asset declaration system at https://ald.ciaboc.gov.lk/, noting that paper-based submissions are no longer accepted.

CIABOC further stated that fines will be imposed on individuals who fail to submit their asset and liability declarations before the deadline.

The requirement applies to all persons specified under the Anti-Corruption Act, including public officials and several other categories of individuals required to file declarations annually. (Newswire)
