The Department of Meteorology has issued an advisory for strong winds in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern, North-central, Northwestern provinces and the Trincomalee district.
Effective until 11.00 am tomorrow (01), the department has warned that strong winds of about 40-50 kmph can be expected in the above-mentioned areas due to the active south-west monsoonal condition.
The department has issued red alerts to 15 districts and amber alerts to 07 districts. (Newswire)
