President’s ambulance handed over to Mullaitivu Hospital

An ambulance previously allocated for the use of the President has been handed over to the Mullaitivu District General Hospital to strengthen healthcare services in the district.

The handover took place yesterday (30) at the Ministry of Health and Mass Media.

According to the Ministry, the ambulance had been assigned to the Presidential Security Division but was no longer being used for active official duties. The Presidential Secretariat decided to transfer the vehicle to the Ministry of Health, taking into account the needs of the country’s health service.

The ambulance was officially handed over to Mullaitivu District General Hospital Director Dr. Nalin Premadasa to enhance patient care and emergency transport services at the hospital.

Health Ministry Secretary Dr. Anil Jasinghe, Additional Secretary Dr. Kumara Wickramasinghe, Deputy Director General (Logistics) H.M.N. Dinipriya Herath, Director (Transport) Muditha Wimalasena and several other officials attended the event. (Newswire)
