Bangladesh have allowed four of their frontline players to skip national duty in order to participate in the Lanka Premier League (LPL), with the quartet set to miss the upcoming three-match T20I series against Zimbabwe.

Captain Litton Das, all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz, and fast bowlers Taskin Ahmed and Hasan Mahmud have all been granted No Objection Certificates (NOCs) by the Bangladesh Cricket Board to feature in the LPL, which overlaps with the Zimbabwe series.

The absence of the four senior players leaves Bangladesh without its captain and several key members of its first-choice T20 squad for the home series.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board’s decision allows the players to honour their LPL commitments despite the clash with the international schedule.

The three-match T20I series against Zimbabwe will be played while the LPL is underway in Sri Lanka. (NewsWire)
