A 53-year-old woman has been arrested after the Police Special Task Force (STF) recovered an unlicensed shotgun, ammunition and swords during a raid on a house in Kandana.
The raid was carried out on Wednesday (01) by officers attached to the Gonahena Special Operations Unit in the Nagoda area of the Kandana Police Division.
During the search, officers seized an unlicensed 12-bore shotgun, 27 rounds of ammunition and two swords from the house.
The suspect was handed over to the Kandana Police for further investigations. (Newswire)
