The National Transport Commission (NTC) has announced that bus fares will be increased from midnight on July 5 under the annual bus fare revision.
Accordingly, the minimum fare for ordinary bus services will increase from Rs. 30 to Rs. 34, while the maximum fare will rise from Rs. 2,422 to Rs. 2,902.
For semi-luxury bus services, the minimum fare will increase from Rs. 44 to Rs. 51. The maximum fare for semi-luxury services will also rise from Rs. 3,330 to Rs. 4,353.
The revised fares will come into effect from 12.00 a.m. on July 5.
The NTC said the full list of revised bus fares will be released separately.
