Former Indian cricketer Piyush Chawla has joined the Jaffna franchise for the 2026 Lanka Premier League (LPL) season.
The veteran leg-spinner, who represented India in both Tests and limited-overs cricket, will add experience to the Jaffna squad ahead of the tournament.
Chawla has enjoyed a long and successful domestic and franchise career, including multiple Indian Premier League (IPL) titles, and was part of India’s 2007 ICC T20 World Cup and 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup-winning squads.
The 2026 LPL is set to feature several international and local stars as franchises continue to strengthen their squads ahead of the tournament. (Newswire)
