The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) says steps have been taken to establish the first-ever fuel station on Delft Island.
The CPC said the project aims to improve access to fuel for residents and businesses on the island, eliminating the need to transport fuel from the mainland.
According to the corporation, the new fuel station is expected to enhance the reliability of fuel supplies while supporting transport, fisheries and other economic activities on Delft Island.
Further details on the timeline for the project’s completion have not yet been announced. (Newswire)
