Two inmates were killed and more than 30 others injured following a clash between two groups inside Negombo Prison today.
Police said the incident occurred within the prison premises. The injured inmates were admitted to hospital for treatment.
Further investigations are underway to determine the cause of the clash and the circumstances surrounding the deaths. (Newswire)
