Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment, Vijitha Herath, says Japan is ready to recruit 1,000 Sri Lankan truck drivers immediately under an existing bilateral agreement, provided applicants meet the required language qualifications.

“We can send 1,000 truck drivers to Japan even tomorrow. The only requirement is that applicants have passed the JLPT N4 examination or the JFT test, which demonstrates they can communicate in Japanese at the required level,” Herath said.

He invited qualified Sri Lankans to apply, noting that the employment opportunities are already available.

“If there are people in our country with these qualifications, we invite them to apply immediately. There are already 1,000 job opportunities available, and we can send them to Japan without delay,” he said. (Newswire)
