Sri Lanka has recorded 68,071 dengue cases so far this year, with 47 deaths, according to the National Dengue Control Unit.
The highest number of cases was reported in June, with 21,538 infections. A further 12,692 cases have been reported during the first 12 days of July.
The Western Province has reported the highest number of cases (35,823), followed by the Southern Province (10,657), Sabaragamuwa Province (5,756), and the Kandy District (5,560).
