Norwegian Air has temporarily changed its Instagram profile logo to British Airways’ branding after losing a friendly social media wager linked to the FIFA World Cup quarter-final between England and Norway.
The challenge began before the match, with Norwegian Air proposing that the airline representing the losing team’s country would replace its Instagram profile picture with the winner’s logo for one day. British Airways accepted the bet, with both airlines exchanging playful messages ahead of kickoff.
Following England’s 2-1 extra-time victory over Norway, Norwegian Air honoured the agreement by replacing its Instagram logo with British Airways’ iconic Speedmarque. The airline also posted a congratulatory message wishing England and British Airways well for the World Cup semi-finals.
