A special program for children in early childhood is being conducted today (15) in the Gampaha District, as part of the National Week on Early Childhood Care and Development.
The week‑long initiative, running from July 14–20, is organized by the Ministry of Women and Child Affairs under the theme “For a Developing Child World – The Beautiful Family is the Sunbeam.”
According to the Ministry, the program aims to nurture a new generation of Sri Lankan children with physical, psycho‑social, and intellectual development.
To achieve this, a series of activities and awareness programs are being rolled out across the island throughout the week. (Newswire)
