
A man who allegedly killed his mentally disabled brother surrendered to the Arachchikattuwa Police on Wednesday (22) and confessed to the crime.
The suspect reportedly walked into the police station carrying a knife at around 2.10 p.m. and informed officers that he had killed his brother.
Police who visited the house in Rajakadaluwa found the victim, identified as Dulen Hasanka, dead on a bed with multiple cut injuries.
Investigators said the suspect had been the victim’s daytime caregiver.
The suspect has been arrested, while a magisterial inquiry and further investigations are underway. (Newswire)
