Former Defence Secretary Hemasiri Fernando has also been found guilty and sentenced to death by the Colombo Permanent High Court Trial-at-Bar over his failure to act on intelligence warnings ahead of the 2019 Easter Sunday terror attacks.
Earlier today, former IGP Pujith Jayasundara was also sentenced to death in the same case.
