Major General Nilantha Premaratne has been appointed as the new Commander of the Sri Lanka Army.
With this appointment, he will also be promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General.
An alumnus of St. Servatius’ College, Matara, Nilantha Premaratne previously served as the 69th Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army.
He joined the Army under Intake No. 34 and has also held the role of Army Media Spokesman during his career. (Newswire)
