Police have imposed an immediate curfew in three Grama Niladhari (GN) Divisions surrounding the Mahara Prison complex until further notice, Police Spokesman ASP F.U. Wootler announced.
The curfew is in effect within the following GN Divisions:
246 Kendaliyadda Road West
246 C Kendaliyadda Road North
181 G Dambuwa
Police said the curfew has been enforced with immediate effect and will remain in place until further notice. No further details on the reason for the curfew have been officially announced. Authorities have urged the public to comply with the restrictions and avoid the affected areas. (Newswire)
