Eight people have died due to the adverse weather conditions that affected parts of the country over the past several days, according to the Disaster Management Centre (DMC).
In its latest situation report issued this evening (04), the DMC said the disaster situation has affected 56 Divisional Secretariat divisions across nine districts.
A total of 11,832 individuals from 3,014 families have been impacted by the adverse weather, the report stated.
The DMC also reported that three people had sustained injuries.
In terms of property damage, one house has been completely destroyed, while 290 houses have suffered partial damage. (Newswire)
