Indian Foreign Secretary meets Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa

India’s Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri met Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa today (05) during his official visit to Colombo.

The discussions focused on key regional developments and ways to further strengthen the longstanding relationship between Sri Lanka and India.

Both sides reaffirmed the importance of continued engagement and close cooperation in advancing the mutual interests of the two neighbouring countries and promoting regional stability.

The discussions also covered opportunities to expand cooperation in a range of sectors, including trade, investment, technology, development cooperation and people-to-people ties.

Premadasa and Misri exchanged views on enhancing bilateral collaboration while maintaining close dialogue on issues of regional significance. (Newswire)
